FAQs

How long has Nite-Time Been together?

Nite-Time started bringing live music to weddings and special events over 10 years ago. Yves, the drummer and Amy, the lead singer (who also happen to be married… awwww) struck out on their own after playing for some of the top agencies in NYC. Nite-Time has always had top notch musicians in the line up, but the current members have been playing parties together for about 4 years.

Do you take requests?

Hell yeah! It wouldn’t be much fun for us (or you) if we didn’t. We have an extensive repertoire and tell all of our clients to go through our list, highlight the songs they love and cross off the songs they don’t want to hear (the do not play list is an invaluable tool). But also, if there’re songs you don’t see on our list, send them on over. We might even know them already, but they didn’t make it to the official list. And during the party, come on up and ask… don’t be shy.

How many breaks will you take during my event?

Break time varies based on the event. If you’re having a sit down dinner, we work closely with the house to time our breaks according to food service. For a cocktail/dance party, we play approximately 60 minutes per set with 15-20 minutes of break time in between sets. It all depends on you and the vibe you want to create for your party!

What Happens when the band takes a break?

We can customize iPod playlists to your taste or plug in your own device if you prefer. You can also upgrade to continuous live music and have at least one musician playing background music between every full band set.

How many songs do you play in a night?

That number varies from event to event. Sometimes, if people are dancing to a specific song, we might extend it and keep the dance floor full. It’s one of the joys of having live music at your party. If you’re feeling the chorus of a certain song… we’ll rock it again! We also string the songs together so the beat keeps going from tune to tune.
